Hi Guys!
I have some basic questions regarding choosing data card (2g sim on 3g card OR 3g on 3g) to be used in Ambala cantt. (also should be good for bangalore area)
- Which is the best service provider for the Ambala and bangalore region? (preferably the cantt area?) is it BSNL or TATA Docomo ? (coz i want to choose one of them since they provide quite cheap - heavy data usage plans)
-Can i put the tata docomo 2g sim in a 3g data card to be used with the 8gb at 149/- 2g plan ?
-what will the practical/exact downloading speeds for the above combination?
-which is actually better? BSNL or TATA Docomo. in terms of speed and signal strength
-I have read on many forums that the Huawei 1831 / huawei UMG1831 is the best data card around which supports 21mbps of bandwidth.
but is it true that it will also perform better than other <21mbps data cards in currently existing network infrastructure which supports upto 7.2mbps (BSNL) ??
- plz suggest a good USB data card (max. budget is 3k) (should i go for huawei 1831? it costs around 500 bucks more..but is it worth it? )
- I heard that the old 2g sim on 3g card by BSNL trick (not exactly a trick but the coincidence of having speeds similar to that of 3g) din't work now!?
Also
-I will be needing a connection of monthly usage of around <5GB
so which one of them will u suggest for the ambala region? BSNL or the TATA docomo? (i will be using the 2g service; plz ignore this ques. if you are not from ambala region)
also, i will be needing min. speeds of around 40KBps at all times(for downloading and surfing should also be ok-good)
- is 3g too costly? my monthly budget stands at <=500
Thanks
anyone.......?![]()
