Default Wireless router with Mobile Broadband dongle

Has anyone used a wireless router with a USB based mobile broadband modem, so when at home I can connect he modem to router and have multiple laptops working?

    Thanks

yes you can, but you have to setup your computer as gateway and you have to bridge your USB adapter and wireless router in the Networks & Printers

So, will the Broadband USB modem be connected to my computer?

I was hoping that there is a wireless router which can take the modem on its USB slot?

    Thanks

Thanks essbebe and meetdilip, your responses are very useful.

These solutions are pretty expensive at this point I think! They need to become cheaper!

    Always welcome.

You can try Connectify as a cheaper option. It makes your laptop (or desktop with WiFi card) into a hot spot. An USB WiFi adapter costs Rs. 900.

you can try olive nexus VR9 router, available online from official site @2990.

Has option for both LAN (ADSL connection) and USB (for GSM-3G or CDMA-EVDO dongles) with failsafe (automatic switching from one to another in case of failure) as well as speed combining.
