Thread: using 3g network with 2g sim???

we all know that bsnl provides 3g network access to its 2g customers if the have UTMS compatible handset...... i want to ask if other service providers AIRTEL, AIRCEL, TATA DOCOMO, RELIANCE or any other service providers u know do the same....

or we require 3g sim only to use 3g services under this network

i m asking this because when i searched for avialable networks with 2g sim of idea/airtel both of their 3g ntworks were present but when i selected the 3g network it replied NO NETWORK ACCESS..................

so tell me if i need 3g sim of idea/airtel for 3g services..........

DOCOMO is giving "taste of 3G" in some places on 2G connections...
