I am using broadband connections in my office and home and I am happy with my speeds there, around 400 kbps. I can get that speed in wired for around Rs 550per month.(Approx!)(with lots of disconnection and blackout on Asianet. I am in Cochin)

I am looking for a new wireless connection for Lap Top.. From the brochures I got, I think all options are offering high speeds, but data is limited. All wireless connections, I think are basically data limited. No true unlimited in wireless.(right?)
I would like to know if there is any wirelss ISP or anything which can provide a around 500kbps speed at around 500/ rupees per month. (Unlimited data usage). or if unlimited is not possible say around 10Gb per month.

I am a software developer, but do not need 10s of GBs of trafic. I may be updating web pages or searching for code snippets or software. No huge volume involved.

Which will you suggest.

btw I have seen a BSNL 3G modem (seems a open modem in which you can insert any GSM 3G SIM). In my locality I think 3G is only available for BSNL.

What difference it makes in my purpose if I go for 2G or 3G?
