Thread: Which USB Modem is to Buy

I want a USB modem which is free from any service provider. Say I have at present BSNL mobile SIM card with GPRS activated.

In the said USB modem can I incert this mobile SIM and use internet. After that I remove this SIM and incert in to mobile to use mobile to talk.

During the SIM use in USB modem, can I call or video call ? Some body suggested such type of modem.

If this is possible then is I have to register my USB modem with BSNL ?

Please suggest.
