Thread: Huawei UMG1831 datacard is not working..Please help.

Hi All,

I have bought this Huawei UMG1831 data card from SP Road, Bangalore 5 months back and its not working for the past 1 month. My bad luck the shop in which i purchased has been closed and i couldn't claim warranty as well.Please suggest me a way to get this repaired. Any place in bangalore where they do service for huawei data cards? please help me.

ok..look bro we need a little more info (such as any error messages coming up while connecting etc.) here..so as to:

1) help rectify ur data card's technical prob.

2) for claiming ur data card's warranty (opsie ) u need to first think that:

- if it is an *unlocked* modem.. is it is.. then sorry bro even the customer care people won't replace the device.. YES they may* do repairs but can make you pay* for the charges occurred in doing so..

- if the modem came bundled with a operator's SIM card then yes.. take your purchase bill witht eh warranty card to the nearest Huawei service centre and they will help ya out asap. (chk Huawei's service centre booklet tht came inside the box/packing OR chk huawei's website for the city-wise list of the service centres / google it :P)

hi thanks for your reply..mine is an unlocked one and could you help me out in locating a service place in Bangalore where i cud get this repaired.i went to one huawei service centre in jayanagar,bangalore and they said we wont repair it even if i am ready to pay.they say that for T-mobile huawei(umg1831) they do not provide service.
