Question Need help with Bsnl prithvi evdo card driver...Please

I just bought a Prithvi EVDO card model UE100 for bsnl evdo connection. There is a CDMA sim inside it. The driver (BSNL connection manager) was preloaded in the card. I installed it on my laptop, but the driver was not working at all. I am running Windows 7 64-bit. When I insert it in the usb port it is giving errors like:

    Open database error
    load message failed
    save message failed

I tried to save the settings in profile i.e. username, password and access number. But when I click the save button, it errors save failed. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver but again the same damn errors. So I was unable to connect to internet using the Driver.

However I was able to connect to internet successfully with a Dial-up connection which I created manually in Windows Network and Sharing center with the following settings:
    username : 165
    password : 165
    dial-up no. : #777

But I am unable to read the messages ( balance and validity ) in my sim as driver is not working. Somewhere I read that this driver don't work with 64 bit windows. Is it true?

Is there any new driver ( Bsnl connection manager ) which works fine with windows 7 64-bit ? Please help out.

Take your laptop to the shop where you got the EVDO card from...tell them to install it.

I'm using Prithvi only it supports 64 bit very well and my os is win 7 64bit. Try this :copy the contents in the card to desktop before you install and install from the desktop , also go to device manager during or after installation and right click and install the drivers if you face any problem it should work fine.

I was able to install it and run well in windows 8 as well in compatibility mode.

Hello people, those with Win7, try and switch off the bluetooth adapter before installing the EVDO card drivers.
Due respect and recognition to the post/forum from where I got this info.
Due to some missing bluetooth driver the device fails.

It works for me and in another laptop, all the best guys.
