GPRS allows the users to access different types of information related things like, intranet, email. The databases are also accessible through the remote LAN setup feature of a GPRS enabled cell phone. The speed and latency of GPRS date transmission is really fast through a remote Local Area Network GPRS provides a comparatively easier email access. GPRS provide a constant Internet connection that makes it easy to check the e mail on a cell phone. GPRS also has an alert mechanism which when linked with email service can easily notify the users whenever they receive a new email. GPRS also makes it possible to browse the web. In fact it is much faster and easier to browse the Internet through a GPRS activated cell phone. It has an efficient document sharing and collaborative working feature. It enables a large number of people sitting at different locations to work on the same document at the same time. GPRS also facilitates file transfer, in fact the downloading or transferring speed of files is bandwidth intensive. However, the file transfer through GPRS enabled cell phone is really fast, despite the type of file that the users want to transfer. GPRS is also able to facilitate chat the users do not have to set up your own group for a chat. The users can access all the existing Internet chat groups that the users can join across all the networks. GPRS can also facilitate the use of images and video. In fact a GPRS enabled phone can post photographs, greeting cards and even video presentations from a digital camera that is connected to a GPRS radio device. It posts the images and videos directly to a website. |
