    Default Aircel starting operations in Delhi by month end

    US Adcom, the OOH (out of home) arm of US Advertising based in Delhi, has been appointed as the OOH media partner for telecom operator Aircel for its Northern India market. The telecom company has its operations in West Bengal and the seven North Eastern states. Aircel will soon launch its services in Delhi and UP (East and West).The development was confirmed by Basant Dhawan, general manager, marketing, Aircel.
    Currently, Aircel is running a pre-launch campaign across markets in the northern circle of Delhi and UP (East and West).

    US Sharma, director, US Adcom, says, “The Delhi and UP (East and West) operations will be launched by the end of February and the first week of March, respectively. The work for these upcoming launches is currently on.”

    I hope they dont repeat the foolishness done in Kerala when it was introduced some days back. They priced the starter pack at 296/-.

    no .. they are starting with some really good offers everywhere ... when aircel was first introduced in kolkata it became a craze ... they introduced a bonus card of Rs.249 - any local call to any number free for the full month ...

    this was soon limited to 600 minutes .... but they will certainly provide such offers when they extend their services to major cities ..

    Yes they have started some offer like from the second minute the call will be charged 50p in Kerala too.

    higher number of operators in the same city would result in benefits to the customer in one way or the other. with established players like Airtel/Vodaphone/Idea/Reliance/TATA already having a major existing customer base any new entrant is automatically required to provide special offers to attract business.

    and we should welcome these new entrants with open arms if they provide such offers ...

    Connection with life time incoming validity for Rs.99
    local call @1 for 1st min of each day
    @60paise for 2nd min each day
    and @40paise for rest of the day

    Aircel 2 Aircel std @50paise.
