Default Vodafone/Idea Charges

Hi
Was just inquiring......if one goes for

Vodfone
Lifetime (Rs.99 or Rs.49) do you need to put Rs.200 in a six months period to keep the number active
Also do you have to use (make calls worth) Rs.200 in a six months period to keep the number active.

Idea
Lifetime(Rs.99) do you need to put Rs.30 every month in a six months period to keep the number active
Also do you have to use (make calls worth) Rs.30 in a six months period to keep the number active.

Needed this info for a friend who wants to go for either one of the two.

Thanxs in advance

Well from others who have Vodafone and Idea, Vodafone seems to be better!

Its provides good reception and you wont get those annoying advertising calls and sms's unlike Idea who sends lots of them and make a thousand calls a day!

Another reason to choose Vodafone would be to that you can get recharge for something like Rs20 a month or so and avail from offers like free 100 sms's a month, or 70paisa to any mobile and so on. But check what the current offers are, as these offers were sometime last year.

I dont know much about the Idea offers, but maybe someone else who knows more about Idea can help you on this.

Thanxs for the input
Called vodafone service centre no which they have provided on their site and they confirmed that to keep the validity for life long one has to recharge a cummulative of Rs.200 in 6mnths, and one does not have to use the Rs.200 during the 6mnths period...you just need to recharge and can use whatever you want on calls....this was the doubt which i had as one customer centre representative in my area misinformed me saying that you had to recharge the card with 200rs and aslo use 200rs in 6mnths otherwise your card would get disconn.
The same representative told me that there would be roaming charges in a certain area, which also was false.
