Rep Power: 10  | Mobile phone uses radio frequencies. Currenlty we are using 2G. Its bandwidh is 30-200 KHz. 3G has got a higher bandwidth something around 15-20 Mhz. Since 3G has got higher bandwidth you can have video broadcast on mobile phones & many others things. You can video calling. I think we can use a 3G enabled mobile phone for laptop Internet access. But I am not pretty much sure about that. 3G is only launched by MTNL & BSNL here in India. Other players like Airtel Vodafone would come as soon as the 3G spectrum auction would complete, which is taking a hell lot of time. |

| BSNL will be using this 3G for wireless PC connectivity also. I think its been released in jaipur as one of my friend is using it now. You get unlimited internet access for Rs500 (@256Kbps). Problem is they charge a lot initially. Yes u can use ur 3G enabled phone for your laptops also. |
