    Default Lifetime Validity Mobile Plans

    Lifetime Validity Mobile Plans

Gone are those days when one had to recharge every month their mobile phones to keep its validity alive. But now you buy any SIM card from a vendor out there you will find all marked as lifetime validity plans. That is you have lifetime incoming free and you donít need to bother about recharging them every month for extending the validity.

As you go on recharging for talk time the validity slowly increases. When you buy a SIM of any mobile communication you are given a validity of nearly 2-3 years. But as you go on recharging the account every now and then, the validity of your SIM goes on increasing. But there are some areas where one needs to be careful with the lifetime validity mobile phones.

Many people think that once they buy lifetime validity SIM they are entitled to receive incoming for lifetime and the SIM wonít expire. While that is not so! Everything in this world comes at a cost. For lifetime validity mobile phones there is one hidden scheme. A person has to recharge his or her account with minimum of Rs 50 (the amount varies with the service provider) every six months to keep the validity intact and the SIM active to receive the incoming calls.

If you fail to do so, the SIM is rejected and your connection gets expired. You have to pay a minimum amount to get your SIM active again and use it for incoming and outgoing. Thus one has to go on recharging the lifetime validity mobile phones from time to time to increase the validity of the phone.

Airtel Communications was the first to launch the lifetime prepaid as well as postpaid SIM in India. At that time the cost of the SIM was Rs 999/- and one could either get it directly paying Rs 999/- instantly or get the SIM at installment for Rs 99/- per month for one year. But there was the hidden condition that the subscriber had to recharge at least Rs 30 every three months to keep the validity of the phone intact and those who failed lost the lifetime validity. There was lot of confusion among people related to the lifetime validity mobile plans when they were launched.

Today every service provider from BSNL, MTNL, Reliance, Idea, Airtel, and Vodafone to Virgin Mobiles is offering the lifetime validity plans at the cheapest rates. One can get an Idea SIM of lifetime for just Rs 49/- with a talk time worth of Rs 10/- in it. Reliance has offered lifetime validity plan SIM card for Rs 80/- where one can make all calls (STD and Local) for just 50 paisa per minute only for lifetime without any sort of voucher or special recharge.

However no service providers have yet launched a plan where the lifetime validity remains intact without recharge of the phone. If one fails to recharge the phone for six months or more the SIM automatically gets rejected and your connection is terminated.
