Thread: Nokia Ovi maps will now be completely free

Ovi maps navigation software will now be available completely free for 10 selected nokia symbian handsets namely Nokia E72, Nokia E55, Nokia E52, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia X6, Nokia 6730 classic, Nokia 6710 Navigator, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition, Nokia 5230. This will be automayically enabled on gps handsets immediately.

Nokais mobile mapping software was always free but you had to pay for premium services like voice navigation which will now be available free in 180 in 46 languages., for 10 handsets with more to be added soon .

Additional maps like lonely planet, Michelin ,wcities and integration with facebook will also be available. Both online and offline functibality will also be available. Nokia has also created a new map formats to reduce file sizes. From March this year ovimaps will be preloaded on all nokia handsets, download it here

This is a wise move from nokia .It may be noted that google maps has this feature only for USA but well we got to thank google for making this true !

i think g map is better and free for all the phones why not we try this

ovi maps rock avent used g maps too much !

No one can beat Google Maps......
Google maps are really awasome with unlimited no. of features...

thats right noone can beat ggle in maps mail and searchs
