Everybody knows what is a SIM card. It allows you to go online with your mobile. It is very small even when compared to a postal stamp. There is some 100 contacts that can be stored in a SIM. But S K Telecom of South Korea thinks big. They have managed to put all those data needed to run Android in a SIM virtually making it a processor. It is something new and never heard of , saying analysts. It going to set new standards in the mobile market. Big players cannot ignore it anymore. It was revealed in the Mobile Word Congress this week in Barcelona.

The SIM from S K Telecom which is a prototype includes an ARM based processor , companion memory and 1GB of flash memory to store the OS and other data. The SIM card uses a USB 2.0 interface to communicate between terminals.
