Thread: Problem accessing Tata docomo 3G modem.

My friend purchased a Tata 3G modem of Huawei made from UPwest City Bareilly..
The dealer told him that he has unlocked the modem for all sim cards. And he even he did as well with other 2G sim cards like bsnl and docomo 2G.

The problem starts from last some days, he went to his village home in Uttarakhand, where there is no 3G and only bsnl 2G is available. He is unable to do internet from the modem..

can anyone please tell, is that a problem with the modem's unlocking or a problem with the network???

i told him to uninstall and re-install but no help..
can he change the modem for warranty ?? (purchased 2 months)

Can you please post the details? What error message is he getting while connecting to internet? Is the data card not detecting the sim? Or is there a network problem?
The problem may be with the access point, the network, balance and even the circle or area where he is trying to access internet?

And as far as warranty is concerned, i dont think so that warranty will be valid if the data card is unlocked..

when he is putting the modem into the usb port, his modem is detected by the cop , but shows no signals on the software..

meanwhile i told him to do regular dial up, but he is a new computer buddy so he couldnt understand half things..

i feel both sad and angry for he is stupid on computer.. he doesnt understand simple things like how to uninstall and install a software... and he purchased a laptop... huh!!!
