Default 2G Tricks that may help you alot!!

Suppose you have a slow 2G internet connection,.. like my current one is slow 2G. And i have to do too many tasks all the way..
so heres a list of what i am currently doing .

    1. writing this post on Indiabroadband forum.
    2. writing a post on TechforumIndia forum.
    3. writing to a friend on gtalk and yahoo.
    4. downloading a torrent that weighs ~700mb.
    5. downloading an mp3.
    6. email is on, gmail.

So all this, is not possible untill i do some common tricks. These are infact not tricks, these are just some common doings. feel you are in an emergency and have to use a connection like this.. so i see, the speed is between 1KBps to 10KBps. (netmeter)

So i try these things to keep my internet useful:

    1. all people will tell you to use a light weight browser. I tell you to try different things. I dont understand whats a light weight browser. use gff, use opera, use even IE. understand which one is better for the current time. i personally like k-meleon but beware it has security related problems so dont use it for online payments or other serious stuff.

    2. put your gmail on html view and use auto reload (like 200 seconds) and it will load your email just like a normal gmail (standard view) will do.
see the gmail url something like : http://mail.google.com/jjijgkljasfldijokj/?ui=2/hastalavista change it to /?ui=html for html view which loads faster. or try m.gmail.com if you are on bitspersec connection.

    3. you can use a messenger like Pidgin or Digsby. Digsby is good and so is pidgin, personally i like pidgin more. I have both. so you dont have to load standard version of gmail or facebook to load for half hour, and chat to your friends. a messenger will disconnect less.

    4. I am using fastun.com port 7000. it decreses speed a little though. ping -t fastun.com .. also ping -t your current dns.com

    5. close animations, flash, ads, popups if you have nothing to do with them. they take most of the bandwidth of your connection which decreases net experience. you can even close image if you dont want. to view the image just tick mark images and load the image you want to see.

    6. use a download manager. download a torrent thats small. try different downloading levels. try unlimited and see the speed on netmeter. close download when you reach to a substancial speed. this is helpful because gsm internet becomes offline if you dont do anything, and torrents they download from different ips, and you are uploading too, so it will help you get a working internet.

    7. open a pornsite if you are an adult. seek for some seconds untill it loads the first section of the page and some images. than close it(depends on what you want you though)

    8. if you are not getting anything i.e download =0 upload = something or 0 possibly you are offline. so to come back to the network running. just call a number and end the call or check your balance. wait for some seconds and you will see the network running back again.

    9. if you are using a mobile as a modem(which most people do) select settings>>connectivity>>data>>always online. this helps you connect to gprs more quickly than you will wait for the "G" OR "E" to arrive on the mobile screen.

    10. select ctrl A , ctrl c(save to notepad if you want) when you are writing such a long post using 2G. because it will disconnect anytime and make you really sad.

Always try different things. Its always helpful. i know many people dont get bad speeds as me. but still you cannot be 100% sure of when the speeds get such. after all 2G is like many more years to live in our country, and we have to do with it as its cheaper and do all our works at the same time.

and please dont think you will get more than 25KBps. i will also tell you to have another 3G connection. its always handy. mtnl bsnl airtel idea. many companies have their stuff. i am using bsnl and getting good speeds on it. and use it when 2G fails or when i have to do some very important stuff. both connections should not take more than 400Rs. off your pocket if you know what you have to do.
Site from home gaya bhad mein... AIrtel se bolo FUP band kare.. BSNl se bolo 3G signal do!!!!>: (

two things i would like to add here is

1.To use a firewall like zonealarm for blocking unwanted outgoing connections just add exception to connections you want to provide internet access this will help in improving net speed

2.disable automatic updates of each and every program ,,application or software u use.....

if u wanna update them do it maually one at a time....

if you open taskmanger many process of update are utilizing ur internet there like googleupdate.exe or googleinstaller.exe

yet firewall like zonealarm is installed,,, it provides access to trusted applications automaticaly

    ...
firewalls might also create problems for ur internet connections

if u are using avast then u should give access to process named avastservice to use internet ...............................
