Thread: comparing n95 with e71

well i think e71 is costly as compared to n95.. what are your opinions?

i m NOT comparing n95 8gb just 2gb (e71 comes with 2gb card only!! )

1st thing i dint liked is n71's cam.. though it is 3.2 mpx but only in adequate light pics are quiet acceptable.. I will tell u in dim light n even in night mode its horrible.. even flash has little or no effect.. as compared to carl zeiss lens with quiet effective flash and that also 5mpx u get nice pics..

another thing... is lack of accelrometer in e71. i just love tht.. sadly not there in e71.

one more thing is qwert key pad of e71 is nice but practically i feel the buttons are very small n also conjusted.. difficuld to use.. have to get into practive very much...


rest if u think price wise... n95 comes around 16.5 grands n e71 comes 19.8 to 20 grands..

as far as i know in n95 there is no features tht is lacking as compared to e71 i mean 3g, wifi, smart fone, symbian 3rd gen software, cam is ofcourse better than e73, key pad instead will be more comfoortable for anyone including to ppl who will be changing from some other phone also.. rather than e71 key pad.. with so small keys n conjusted pattern, accelerometer, dual cam .. for video conference, lence closing shield for protection of lens, 3.5 mm jack output (practically very handy)

i will go with n95... rest tel me your reviews pl.. i need advise fast.. as m gonna buy e71 as accoding ppl it seems its the best but as per above are my queries.. so pl let me know.:2guns:

Mr Tooth Fairy, I think you are comparing phones made for entirely different purposes. Your selection of a phone depends on what exactly you want out of it. To put it more succinctly, your choice of a mobile phone defines what you are!

Nokia E71 is a business phone for executives released presumably, as a competitor to the Blackberry because it looks and feels (not sure about this cos I neither own a blackberry nor a E71) the same.

Nokia N95 is for the geek, the nerd, the tech savvy etc., with multimedia features so overwhelming that anyone who comprehends it would "go for it!"

If you really want to go for business phones HTC is my personal favourite as it has both looks and works without hitches (at least it is working without hitches till now!!!). I own a HTC Touch 3G and it certainly is working like a charm.

The choice is yours !

ya i know that basically business fones are dfferennt in look n feel as compared to like say n95 or something.. but what i say that i have e71 now... i bot it i see not much differenct in os or use or function.. as than n95... i mean basic what all ppl want.. is fast wifi, 3g, edge, cam, memory, music. comparing all that.. u see u get 5 mpx cam and all other function .. (all) as of e71 at even cheaper rate.. if looks and feel all matters for business man.. i think business ppl will not shove off 3 to 4 grands just for looks ... :lol: come on.. business is business...

There is a very basic and major difference in both these phones and thats speed.. E71 has got twice the RAM and its processor is heaps faster then the one used in n95.

E71 is what I use now and its not really fair to compare it with an N series phone but now that you have let the gennie out of the bottle here we go....

Camera is not something an E71 user would ever be bothered about its a business phone and the keyboard is not bad atall as I use it all the time... I even use my phone to browse this forum and reply to private messages and threads as well some times especially when I get up in the morning.

Another very important thing is the batery life... E71 battery lasts twice as compared to a N95.

I will come back with more later this is all I can remember right now.

Another thing I just found out that Nokia E71 is compatible with both HSDPA 900 / 2100 but the Nokia N95 will only work in HSDPA 2100 3g networks.

I dont know what frequency is it in India... can any one confirm that nokia N95 will be compatible with 3g networks in India? I know Nokia E71 is compatible as I have been to areas where Mtnl has already started 3g services and my phone was picking up that 3g icon

yes.. n95 is definately comapible with 3g.. as like during the add in the news abt launching 3g in delhi.. and all..n95 was used as the model showing how 3g works and all.. so thts for sure..


admin.. i m glad.. tht u told so many nice things abt e71.. i was thinking tht i selected wrong fone... compared to n95 as its cheaper n also all same facilities.. battery life .. i see it has got long battery life.. regarding all other features.. thanks for info.. waiting for more updates..
