    Thumbs up Blackberry will not be network restricted anymore.

    Research In Motion (RIM) has partnered with redington India( large distributor for Indian electronic products like nokia and etc.)

    so in order to boost the blackberry sales, it will let the user to choose the network provider, but until now the network locked versions are only available in India.

    it will also customize the blackberry towards a complete multimedia gadget to lure more segment of customers ranging from youngster to professionals.
    they also concentrate in price range to increase the sale in India.

    So it would be a good news for all us, who dreamed about blackberry.

    @prasanna

    When is this expected to happen ?

    I went to a Univercell store to buy Blackberry or E71. They told me that Blackberry was going to be banned so it is better to buy E71.

    The guy from the mobile shop. I was a little apprehensive at first but at the same time he told it to me so convincingly that I guess I made the move to E71. He said, Blackberry are encrypting their servers and are not giving access to anyone else so they might be banned. Guess I was a fool for taking into it ?

    Do mobile shops get less commision for black berry

    the matter was taken at length by the Indian Govt. with RIM. but I think they have come into some understanding in this regard.
