Read these reviews of touch 3g and viva at mobilearsenal

Main advantages of 3g over Viva...

Looks better IMO, has a 528 mhz processor (viva runs 200 mhz which is yesteryear ), has 64 mb extra ram which translates into faster performance, has GPS (viva has none, and GPS is cool, and surprisingly works well in india too :P), few grams lighter..

And more important is that the current 3g config is capable of running winmo 6.5 which will be released next year (u must be brave enough to falsh ur rom tho)

All this for an extra money of 4500, so i took 3g..


Touch 3g will be capable of running future apps with decent performance for atleast 2 years

Or if u have the money go get the big daddy, HTC Blackstone a.k.a Touch HD

Try multitasking with 200 mhz and 128 mb ram...
it will be waay too slow...

also the phone os itself will use up 50 % of ur ram while on use... the touchflo will takeup 10 mb ram which leaves u about 50 mb ram or less... not enough

how costly is HTC Touch HD

why both are stated to hav same processor then ?

@ Amit... No GPS needs GPRS to download maps etc... Works well in cities and towns and highways... I tried in chennai and during a trip...

Touch HD -- > Just 41,000

so its useless than.....coz we needed to pay extra bucks every month for GPRS.............i'm buying viva bcoz of Wi-Fi thing......which was free........

^ lol ur wish... but i use airtel gprs 30p/50 kb and gps really doesnt use much of bandwidth

it was too costly man about 1Rs. for 165KB........i'm happy with my broadband connection(Home1000) on PC................

the phone looks quite good, but are HTC phones good and how good is this phone as compared to other latest mobile phones? I mean what so different about it or good about it that one should consider it?

u know what.....i was happy with my friends 3440 old model......than he told me get the viva...than i looked for it........

touch 3g is around 20k and iphone 3g 8gb is around 30k i think??

well iphone should cost only 20,000 or less if they priced it on par with us prices here.. And i too wont trust online deals that easily..

Another option for u is touch diamond.. it's 17k and as powerful has touch 3g and has a better screen.. poor battery life tho..

PS: can we request a subsection for windows mobiles?? whom should i request?
