Thread: Mobile chat and email gadget.

Guys

One of my friends, have just come out of NIIT with his hands well versed in Java,. He is with a quite attractive plan(as looks to me)

He is talking about, a Java software which will provide Email and chat access, content providing(no hassle for piracy laws as ppl will themselves download and upload their own stuffs.) multi lingual chat support(major Indian lingas) support of feeding like broswer(sort of rss reader which will eventually work as a small web browser for low end phones)

So as the plans are quite ravishing for me..but i am lil nonplussed(means confused ) about if there is any sort of future in such type of software, as many in Indian dont even know how to add settings of gprs on phone and working on it(thats a later work)
please give your suggestions for this and also do highlight about what features are essential so that i can gulp a summary of the whole story..

I didnt actually understand what you really are asking..can you explain in simple english what is that software or browser which you are talking about..

mail2sc, what you are describing looks like it might already be
available and done by some others.

^^a java software/app(around 100kbs) for nokia/sony/samsung mobiles, which will help people to access gmail, yahoo, pop mails, chat yahoo, gtalk(currently friend is working on it), irc, and sharing of thingies like mp3 ringtones, midi ringtones, wallpapers, etc..

yes many players of this, but no Indians...

in India we have sites (wapsites) but no such softs..

oh ok good. I guess it will be helpful to people who dont have PC or net connection all the time.. what is he asking you to do now ? Marketing ?

so he will, if i see its a profit business, than i will inrease his servers..
