my friend wants to develop a internet radio java application for nokia low end phones which is able to stream music as .amr(thats his thought)cause .amr is smaller in size when compared to .mp3 files. He says when he tries to test the jar he gets error. Pls anyone can tell if its possible to stream music as .amr file in place of .mp3 or .wma as done by normal players. He wants to stream in .amr cause it will take less of data and will buffer less as .mp3 is more space taking. His application according to him will use gprs and not high speed 3g. Pls help.
