Hi Friends
I am eager to buy Sigmatel S22 coz it has lots of feature like TV,3G,Touchscreen and others,but in another way I dont feel like opting for that coz its a Chinese Mobile.So I am asking help from you.I want a mob with this feature of any make.Budget is only 4-5 k

At this moment it will be hard to find a good mobile having features like TV, 3G, Touchscreen, etc which you want in a price band of 4-5 k.

Sigmatel S22 does not have 3G.

How does the TV on cell phone work? I believe that it requires 3G connection and subscription service.

i dont have a sigmatel but a chinese one with the features you wrote..

its a great phone, and tv works a great when you are in delhi or any other metro (where terristerial(tv towers) network is good)

about 3G : my phone doesnt have it.
about gprs: has gprs though browser is not good.
about edge: has edge but i am not able to achieve net, because driver was not in the software cd.. (though may be availble in internet but i didnt check)
about music player/sound/video: not awesome but a regular guy will like.(sound sukz your ears play on low volume)
about budget : price not more than 3500/- now.. last i went to "phone lelo" shops in L.P market, del they were selling it in 3700/-
i purchased two years back at 4500/-

i dont know if present chinese phones support 3G or not, because mine didnt support it. mine is 2G and its not net streaming(of what i think) because my tv set was based on terristrial tv tower, ( for ex. if you have had heard of chinese 10 band tuner radios) so its the same thing, just tv is added to it..

but if you want to buy a 3G phone(basically) why are you going into it??

you may buy samsung L700 its a good 6800/- phone packed with 3G and also good flash enabled camera phone. the working is great too..

i use it with my idea edge net and on 2G edge internet too the speed is good.

i dont think, that a phone which doesnt have edge in it, will have 3G..

moreover this phone lacks many things like java(as most chinese phones)

try some good brands, listen me.. dont waste money if you arent a physcho like me..

but if you wanna try, then go for it..

I got to use this phone for a day.... Its pretty okok........

You "catch" the signal on your phone. Problem is, you get only DD on it. Usefull only during college breaks when some India Vs Pak match going on (i used during the T20 cup, so was useful )

i mentioned this already, this phone is based on land network (and only DD has it- which is the child of Prasar Bharti )

its a great phone, and tv works a great when you are in delhi or any other metro (where terristerial(tv towers) network is good)

hi friend u were right even my close one are suggesting not to buy those chinese phones.

yes....i m impressed with the feature of sam l700 ..........
only the cons are the size of the screen coz i m using gprs on my mob.

you may also take Samsung marine b2100.. its really cool phone... really very serious phone...
i am now thinking of giving my gf a cheaper Nokia maybe, and retaining this...

ok..

you can have L700. it has bigger screen or find N72 if possible, N73 is also good. range now is around 6.5k - 7k (atmost)

somedays back my bro was able to buy one N72 for some 7.1k bucks.(with MMC)

i hope you achieve it..

thanks for showing the way,as you know that i was interested on samsung l700
but due to the screen size i changed my mind to j 800 which has almost the same feature for Rs 6900/-

Regarding Sam J800
The cons are....while using the mob for around 15-20 minute like playing games,listening music, fiddling or browsing web It gets heated quickly.
Picture is more clearer in SE 750i than in this present mob. (i have been using SE 750i for around 6 yrs.)
As for me I didnt like the OS of Sam......
