Smart phones are becoming popular by the day and if your someone who follows the news and views from smart phones then you will know that mobile brand i-mate has become very well known and popular. In previous years they used to have the most sought Windows mobiles devices, which meant the situation for worse for i-mate.

Some of i-mate's premium devices includes JasJar, JasJam, K-Jam and many others. But these premium devices lost their importance when the iPhone 3G was released. HTC the supplier of handsets to i-mate took the decision on their own and decided to stop supply their handsets to i-mate, things started getting worse for the company. i-mate tried bringing out new handsets of their own, but things did not go down well, which lead to news of i-mate closing down.

The company based in Dubai had asked its employees to go on an unpaid leave for approximately 2 months, and this news was given through their internal email. A short while after this the offices were closed down too.

Looks like recession got to i-mate too!
