in india 3.5 G is introduces so also mention if the phone is 3G (upto 384 kbps) or 3.5G(3 mbps )for ex- sony ericcsson naite j105i is 3.5 G (capable of 3 mbps hspda data transfer)

one may simply find the hspda phones on mobile review sites,

i am not a seller of phones, so i just compiled whatever i knew..rest your own business.

to add to the list,
Nokia 5230 (touch phone with GPS)
Samsung B7320 (windows QWERTY mobile with GPS)

to identify a 3G phone, look at the specs and see if it supports UMTS 2100 band.
3G = upto 384 kbps
HSDPA = upto 3.6 mbps

i too have 3g handset (Nokia 6500 slider) but not activated 3G connection on it.

it has 3G too

I had GPRS activated, don't know how but 3G got activated automatically, even while roaming I am using 3g for short uses like mail check etc.

do anybody tell about cheaper 3g

Micromax H360 is a HSDPA touchscreen+keypad phone @ 5500. but it is locked to MTNL/BSNL network

INQ mini 3G is also in the same group with similar price. But it is locked to Aircel network (So no 3G for the moment).

but is it really an awesome phone or just...

I'm using it for the last 4 months. its got bluetooth, JAVA, FM radio, 3.2 MP cam (no flash). Mini USB port for all options. Metalic body. Voice quality is good. Video call also good. Functions well as a modem.
So overall good value for money.

Since my most jobs are through Java, could you please tell me how much java size does it support??

never tested its limit for that specific purpose, so can't say.
But I've installed many 3rd party apps and all run ok. It can install apps from the MicroSD card also in addition to main memory.

Yes. opera mini runs perfectly.
also bolt, snaptu, gmail, ebuddy, nimbuzz etc.
