Thread: Windows mobile phone:

Brands like HTC, Samsung, LG and Acer offer windows powered mobile phones. Windows mobile phone s are not very popular especially with the mergence of smat phones like blackberry, iphone and nexus one.
Microsoft has got a lot of improvement to do for it mobile version of operating system. For now googles android, symbian and apple is taking it all. Windows is losing sheen on mobile platform as there are better operating systems available and that too free.
May be windows is quietly preparing a better version for mobiles but that will be the future. For now Microsoft is way behind apple and google on this front.
I have used a windows powered phone and my experience with that wasn’t all that good and I must say the mobile version of internet explorer is way below microsofts standards.
Microsoft need to start manufacturing handsets on its own and launch an app store too.

Well, my friend you are wrong at many points. You say Windows Mobile is not popular as blackberry, iphone and nexus one? thats because you haven't seen it much in India and people dont know its capabilities.

Windows Mobile is the only Mobile operating system which has true multitasking. You can run many browsers at a time say u open opera min and put it to open a website, then u minimize it and open skyfire put it to open a website, again minimizing u put opera mobile to open a site, then in between u play a game, again minimize it and then play another game and atlast one by one u go to the browser u will see all site got loaded plus u can switch to any app instantly.

Yes, i agree ie is super crap but in what? its only in wm 6.1 Just have a look at ie of Windows Mobile 6.5 or 6.5.3 they have full browsing with flash!! iphone cannot play flash....

Nexus one its powered by Android os, its a excellent os and is developing a lot. One more thing i forgot u posted that on 2-19-10 but let me tell u windows mobile has a marketplace launched last year October.

And yes Windows Phone 7 is coming soon iPhone no where stand against it. Wp 7 minimum hardware specs are too great a minimum of 1ghz processor !! iphone doesnt have it yet and it uses a high gpu etc games are too high level.

Yes, I also think Windows mobile could be better, I have noticed that many brand has used this system.It will be fine!
