Thread: How to Install Custom ROM in Windows mobiles.

Hi Guys this is my another Article about using Custom Rom on your HTC mobile or any other windows Mobile..

Note:
User must do it under own Risk.. Updating custom Rom may cancel their warranty... Some times mobile will die if you do anything wrong..

Things Needed:
*Windows Mobile with Fully Charged or up to 50 percent...
*Sync your mobile using Active sync which is for Windows xp users and for windows Vista and Seven user use Windows mobile device center to sync your mobile..
*Bluetooth can also used to sync but for Flashing the ROM use USB cable..
Dont use Bluetooth to update your ROM...
*Install the latest .Net Framework in your pc...
*Backup your personal file like documents and contact and remove your sim and memory card before going to update..

Things to download..

Goto forum.xda-developers.com and register an account and scroll to your mobile section...
Am going to use my HTC touch viva for this..

Once you have found your mobile section go to the Rom Development Section..



Download Opel Hard Spl from the following link HTC Toch VIVA Hard SPL

Note:
different mobile has different Hard SPL, dont use this for any other mobile, use it for HTC Touch Viva only...

Extract the files and keep it in the close path like desktop..
Goto to the same Rom development section and download custom ROM for your mobile..
The file format will be .NBH. Keep the downloaded ROM aside and connect your mobile with your PC using an USB cable and sync your mobile with your PC and it should look like this..



Now Run Opel Hard SPL v2.exe and click the box I understand the caution and click tick I have completed the steps above and it will verify the information in your mobile and it will show like this..



Click Update and your mobile display will change white and the process will be finished in few min, now when your mobile boots up, on the top left corner, you will see SPL 2.000.com and if its there means you are ready to go with the next main step...

Relaunch the Opel Hard SPL v2.exe and now some bunch of files will be extracted inside the same folder itself, without closing the Opel Hard SPL v2.exe paste the downloaded RUU singed.nbh file inside the folder and overwrite it and go will the same process again and this time it will take nearly 15min to update your ROM... make sure your mobile is sync this time also...
On the 1st boot the mobile will take 10min to boot up because of some configurations, dont restart your mobile at that time...

Note if want your stock ROM you can find it in the ROM section and you can redo the whole process again..
