Thread: Haier C301R Tata Indicom

Hello all.

I purchased this phone which is network locked to Tata Indicom, and i have heard that the phone can be opened to all present CDMA networks,..


I took this phone because Tata indicom has some very excellent calling plans, and which is not possible with any of the other gsm networks..

The phone is a 800 bucks. and has some good features like light weight, good small looks, colored screen(background and mono led), 450 contacts(x3)
65 sms(total), multi-sms, T9(though corrupts sometimes) vibration for calls, sms and other ringers. brew support, nice battery backup, earphone support, speaker loudspeaker, two nice games to time pass..


so what can you think of getting in just 800 bucks.. i mean you got a phone with such features and you are also not bound to buy a new phone for just to have a cdma connection...


good purchase if you dont wanna buy an expensive phone..

you know it also can work as a modem... but the ideal speed it can achieve is very small.. i.e 115kbps.. which reaches to 20kbps maximum...

i tried it connected on reliance (i unlocked yesterday )...

it authenticated...

the modem it has is qualcomm cdma proprietary modem 3197

and the drivers that will load are Haier c2000's....


dial up connection made from the windows... because just modem drivers are available and no suite..

can someone please tell me the authentification required for tata indicom (mobile prepaid) details pls..
