Thread: Fusion8gb Solar charger for mobile phones

Dear friends,
Is anybody using getsolmate fusion solar charger for mobile phones? How is it?

It takes 8 hours to charge it using sunlight! Who would keep it out in the sun for 8 hours to be able to charge thier phone once or may be twice? It can be charged using USB but then how is it any different then just carrying a spare set of battries from your phone? The 4gb or 8gb memory? Isint it too big to be used as a pen drive?

I personally believe its of no use to those who have electricity at home. Would be usefull perhaps if you are going for a trek or something for a few days with no electricity in the camps you will be staying.

My samsung solar phone can charge at a rate of 5 mins charge for 1 minute of call tested.. its good for people who have no access to electricity..(but what will you do with your mobile at such place?? )

By the way,is there any solar charger which will charge with daylight and not from direct sunlight?Any idea?
