Smile Is Android App Similar to Blackberry mail Client?

    Hi All,

I have checked out other threads but cant find actual answer.

I'm pretty new to this, so pls be nice !!

I have been using BlackBerry for about some time now, and it really is nice with email.

My main question is how does Android handle email?

I dont know how to word it, but here is what I get with BlackBerry so far - almost instant notification as soon as it hits the inbox, whether it is yahoo, gmail, hotmail, facebook. As well as chat, its pretty good. If I mark it read in my phones inbox, it gets marked in the email inbox. So basically the email is treated like I am at the computer.

Also is there any application which sorts of uses Blackberry chat client. Cos i'm used to Blackberry chat messenger as most of my friends are on it.

Android looks sweet, and I would like to try it, but the only thing that is holding me back is the email, chat ( Gtalk, Facebook, yahoo, etc) and Blackberry Chat

Where does the Android compare with all of the things ? I am looking at how frequent are the push notifications , and what is the experience like with email other than Gmail.

Thank you for the help, and sorry for wording this so weird. I just want my freakin email !!

For Gmail and Gtalk, android gives the best experience.
For others, it depends on how you have configured the client. But achieving faster response costs battery time.

Android is by google, So google services are very good. Gmail notifications you can configure as per your needs. Facebook application is also nice. Just configure how you need the notifications and you need to keep Data services on everytime for instant notifications.

Android phones have Activesync mail and pop/imap mail client. Its same as blackberry apart from enterprise mail solutions.
