Thread: Suggest to buy mobile less than 10k

Planning to buy a new mobile phone which should cost less than 10k. The mobile usages are normal calls, internet surfing, pop3 mail usages.

IS any tablet or smart phones are under 10k, please suggest me.

if internet browsing is important,then keep android as the best option.
Airtel beetel 7"tab is 10k but crap. Reliance tab @ Rs 13k is ok but locked.
MSI and Acer tabs are bit more expensive.In android budget phones forget spice,micromax etc. LG P500 ,samsong have decent phones around 10-13k. but not 7" screen. (battery may not last even 3 hours in active browsing in Tab.I have nexus-s -even that lasts only 3-4 hours in contant browsing.)
so decide voice or data .

Thanks for the suggestion. previously I used Nokia E63(it was repaired), now I am expecting same kind or good models.
My usage is voice & data(email usages(pop3)).

Nokia C3-00 should cover all your usage requirements. At Rs. 5500 or less, it is a good deal for a QWERTY keypad phone. The best feature is WLAN which can be used to connect to a wi-fi network to browse internet.

The negative point about this phone is the 2 MP camera with no flash.

If you can increase your budget a little bit... than Reliance Tab is a good option..

No Need to increase budget. Facilities described in all above posts will cover in one phone which is Samsung Galaxy POP and cost is INR 7900 with 2GB micro SD card free.

I have purchased the same since last 44 days and using it very happily.
Before buying it i have used it's all features for a week on somebody's same phone and after getting satisfied i have purchased the same.

I have asked the same question in this forum few days back and got good response. From these data and trial use of POP, i have purchased the same.

As your budget is less then INR 10,000 this Galaxy POP for INR 7900 is the best option.

the best smart phone with most latest features under 10 K is LG optimus one.

Better than galaxy pop , in screen resolution and android 2.3 update. sligtly higher than pop but reasonable and comes in ur budget

Check out Motorola Fire that has the latest Android 2.3, email supported (both pop & pull), and it is good for browsing the web too. Currently priced at around 9.2K.

If you like Samsung brand, then Galaxy Pop is an option. Currently priced at 9K. But it offers Android 2.2. You may of course upgrade it. However that's for another day to worry about.

You can Try Samsung galaxy Pro B7510 Qwerty keypad and Touch screen in one with Android 2.3, 3 mega pixel camera, 800mhz processor, microsd card, 3G, wifi for Rs.8200 approx.


For higher budget of around Rs.11000 you can get HTC Wildfire android 2.2, capacitive touch screen, wifi, 3G, 5MP camera, good looks, track ball.

Finally I buyed LG Optimus P500, through letsbuy.com. And I am waiting for the handset and after getting will post my feedback about the handset.

Finally I got the phone after 6 days of booked in letsbuy.com . Well packed and delivered to doorstep. And LG Optimus P500 is good and Andriod supports to access every thing in user freindly mode.

And one query to know about internet usages. Almost my usages are gmail, linkedin, pop3 mails and sometime google. The current 3G tariff am using is 100 MB per month, So is it fine or I will cross the limit ?

I am on 2G and use internet on mobile mostly for mails, google queries, some surfing, Facebook and usage reaches around 70mb in a month. The heavy usage only occurs if you use video streaming sites like youtube or use google maps in satellite mode. And it depends on whether you will switch on the internet 24hours as automatic sync and updates and weather updates tend to draw some data but they are almost negligible. Make the setting for automatic updates for all account accordingly.

Check yourself for first month and decide. you are better to decide according to your usage.
