Default Do you enjoy watching movies on mobile phones?

Watching movies and TV shows is becoming a trend to many people. I want to know your opinion if do you enjoy watching things in mobile devices or do you prefer larger screens?

Some ISp's are now offering services where you can watch movies and TV shows for free if you subcribed to their service. Though I enjoy playing some games in mobile devices, I do feel weird watching videos in a smaller screen. I also find it annoying when my face's reflection is visible on the screen. This is why I enjoy watching them on TV or a computer monitor much more.

I am not a fan of watching movies on small screens like mobile phones. Even a tablet could make me annoying with a headache if I keep on watching it for a long period of time.

As per recent research report a major part of the present generation is going to have serious issues in vision due to smartphone revolution. We use to look at those small screens for gaming and watching movies without any rest. Also we forget to close our eyelids quite often when we are fully absorbed by activities like this. This can make our eye dry and may lead to serious complications in future. In small screens it is very strenuous for the eyes to focus on those moving objects.

Definitely prefer large screens as televisions, projectors or theaters, I think is better because in small screens it loses details that can be important, also with large screens most of the view is focused on the TV, or projectors , it doesn't have therefore many distractions. On small, like a phone screens you are more likely to get distracted and lose some details that can be essential to the story of the movie or the TV show. With small screens I get a lot of headaches. So I prefer large screens.

I very rarely watch movies on my smartphone or tablet, and that's simply down to the size of the screen.

The smallest I'll use is the laptop but even then I prefer to connect the device to an external monitor and watch it that way.

I too use my laptop to watch movies or TV shows. I rarely watch TV nowadays as most of the programs are available online now. Moreover, we can watch them at our own convenience. To me it is a strict NO to tablets or smartphones to watch movies or play games. It would give me a headache if I use to watch it for more than half an hour or so.

I think people love to watch movies in mobiles just because of its portability factor. But as @hurtadoluisalex has rightly said we may miss some details while watching movies in mobiles. There is high chance of a distraction.

Well, watching even a couple of 10-minute video clips, strains my eyes and brains, so much so that I dread the prospects of seeing a full feature film on a tiny smartphone.

Yet I am willing to take a look at the 'Samsung Galaxy Beam', a smartphone that offers some of the features of an Overhead projector. The concept however doesn't seem to have stirred the market. Maybe, a refined version is on the way!

Yeah watching them online is much more better because there are no annoying commercials. Also you will be able to watch a whole season in one day. I love doing episode marathons.

Watching online does come with the advantage of not having to put up with advertising, and I think most people will agree that's a blessing in itself!

I think watching in a tablet is better than with a mobile phone because it is slightly bigger so it is more visually more appealing. Many TV networks are not making their shows available for mobile users via subscription. It is becoming trendy now though because many people I know prefer watching in mobile due to the lack of commercials.

I prefer watching movies at the cinema because the role of cinema in the advertising business is determined by its visual power, which causes the public more than the impact of television communication. The giant screen, stereo sound and the darkness of the room, allow a level of abstraction or concentration of public display, producing an optimal environment for the advertisement. However, one must admit that the film has lost position in the advertising business before the reign of television, the use of video in the home, cable television and satellite.

You cannot do that if you are inside a car or inside a train though. That is the advantage with watching movies and shows on mobile, You can watch it everywhere. I think it is becoming a trend because you can watch videos on the go.

Many TV networks are now making releasing apps where we can watch episodes of both of their current and past shows. I heard the ratings from the mobile version of shows will now be added to TV ratings for Nilsen.
