Default Which phone are you going to buy in 2016?

I'm not going to buy a new phone, but it's the perfect time to buy one, because the price goes down during Christmas and New Year's Eve.

Which one will you choose and why? There are many to choose from, such as iPhone 7, Nexus 6, LG G5...

Most of them have very big screens. I think this is crazy, but it's very popular.

I won't buy any phone in the upcoming year. I am happy with my current phone (Samsung galaxy mini s3) since it suits my needs very well. It's true that there are going to be very good phones with outstanding features, but I'd rather save up my money for something else.

I did say iPhone 7 because I am an iPhone junky, but I will be getting iPhone 6s in January courtesy of my mother.

I am quite happy with my Samsung Smartphone which is already three years old. I think it can go another year without any issues. I am not a big fan of changing phones quite often unless and until there is a breakthrough change in technology. Investing in phones is not wise nowadays.

In 2016 my dream phone would be Samsung Galaxy S7 which is coming up with a lot of expectations. It is said that Galaxy S7 is expected to be a perfect opponent for Apple iPhone 6 with more advanced features. But before buying it all of a sudden, I will wait for some time for the prices to come down and also to have some reviews online. Particularly I am keen to have an Android phone with Marshmallow version which has good security features.

The Nexus 6 embodies several things of the above devices, such as your Android 'stock', with quick updates. However, it also has many changes that put you in a different situation that had its predecessors. First, the Nexus 6 is a large phone, something we had not seen so far in the line of smartphones from Google. Also, this time the price is similar to its competitors. In the past, teams were characterized by Nexus specifications offer good-but not the highest - at a price below other equipment on the market.

Does any of those phones have a removable batteries? That is one huge priority for me now. I wanted phones with removable batteries. I am not going to buy Iphone7 because it is currently super expensive. I will wait for it to get older before I will buy one.

@Cashewfruit_wine, I think you highlighted a very important point. Removable battery is a must for my dream phone too.

I think now we can see plenty of models with removable batteries. But in future when we talk of fully waterproof phones most of the models will be having irremovable batteries. That means if your battery is dead or face any issues, you need to approach an expert to get it rectified. That will cost you more. Moreover, you can also keep an additional battery with you to use in emergency situations in case of a handset with removable battery. It is more user friendly I think.

Well, all phones batteries are removable onky some have been locked up and you need to open the phone to access it, and they already helped us in the sense that there are ways to bypass why we would need to remove the battery in the first place.

I will always support Iphone. It has got something that no other brand has. The brand value associated with Iphone is something completely different. It has a level which is beyond all the other brands. The picture quality, processor, touch, everything is just awesome. All the versions are completely wonderful. As they say, "If it's not an Iphone, it's not an Iphone".

To be frank I don't believe in the brand value of Apple iPhones. I think brand value has nothing to do with the actual performance of the device. But I agree with your point that Apple iPhones are well known for their durability and performance, but they are overly priced. They make it very costly due to the brand value associated with it. Hats off to their marketing team for that. But as you know nowadays Apple iPhones are under pressure of price cut and they have cut the prices of their iPhones a number of times now. That means people are becoming aware of the real picture. If the demand decreases further they will be forced to do further price cuts I think.

Though Iphones are durable we can't deny they were super expensive. There is an Iphone model in my area that is more expensive than a second hand car. I know many people see it more as a social status or a fashion accessory but durability factor can make you save more money with it compared to the low end super cheap Android phones from China. I am considering Blackbery Priv though because of the keyboard.

I think I would get iPhone7 if I have the money to buy it. That's why as of now I am trying to earn some extra money for this phone for it has a lot of good specifications to offer, but I hope that it would not be defective. I've into its specifications and searched a little about iPhone 7 and I think want to buy it if it is already available in the market. What I am concerned about is that It might have some slight issues again like the other iPhone 7 that has been released.

LG G5 seemed to be something I will consider because it is more affordable than an iphone. I also love the fact that it has removable batteries. I am still not sure if the others have removable batteries. Removable battery is a feature that is number on my list that is a must have. I also consider Iphone 6 because it is going to have a price drop thanks to Iphone 7.

Well there's definitely one phone I won't be buying and that's the iPhone! At the moment I'm quite happy with my HTC ONE M9 but if I was to change I'd definitely stick with the android platform rather than iOS or Windows.

Are you going to follow the trend and buy an Iphone 7 or are you going to try saving money and buy a brand new older model? I am waiting for the price of Iphone 6 to drop. So I will be able to afford it.

Lg G5... LG shocked the world when he finally reveals the anticipated LG G4. For those who do not know, the device Lollipop has the best camera on a smartphone so far, generating interest among fans of photography. Today, speculation about the successor of the phone have reached the web. Following the tradition, naturally LG device is called G5, and seems to hold the promise of most smartphones born after their predecessors improvements. While most G5 expected to arrive in 2016, Focus Taiwan reported that LG plans to launch a second flagship phone "this year" -. "Dual badge" in line with its strategy. I just got my new phone, the iPhone 6s and it is awesome, there is no problem with it as far as I can see, it is also well designed and easy to navigate and understand and the user interface is very sleek.

How much is the price drop compared to the original price? Iphone 7 will surely be expensive because it is still new but I am expecting to see the older versions of Apple products to have a price drop. What are the special features Iphone 7 have aside from being thinner than Iphone 6. I know Iphone 6 can take GIF pictures and the touch screen is promised to be more responsive. I wonder what will be the innovations of Iphone 7.

The trouble with Apple and the iPhone's is that for every new model they bring out, the actual OS doesn't change and all that does change are the gimmicks and features that you may not even use anyway.

For the premium price, you'd expect a premium device and I don't think you get that these days with Apple.

Despite being uncomfortably long and less popular than the iPhone 6 iPhone 6 Plus still gathering fans and remains the iPhone with more features to date. With all the speculation about the iPhone 7 (or 6s), it is easy to forget the XL edition of the next smartphone from Apple, but despite being in the shadow of his younger brother, the fans should follow tech excited. After all, the iPhone 6 Plus is the most advanced smartphone to come out of Apple, thanks to its higher resolution screen and stabilized camera.

Like iPhone 7, there are also a lot of expectations for Samsung Galaxy S7 from the market. As Google and Samsung are working together to give an unforgettable experiences to users, I think Galaxy S7 is going to be something different and pose a strong competition to iPhone. Security has always been a concern area for Android devices and it is heard that Galaxy S7 will be an exception in this area. It has advanced features in touch-pad, camera and over all performance.

I wonder what will be actual price of Galaxy S7. I am sure they are going to fix a high price tag with Galaxy S7 due to its advanced features.

Imagine if Samsung and apple collaborated to produce a phone, I can imagine how great it would be and extremely expensive and unnecessary the price will be. Also I went to the techworld in my country/state and I saw so many good phones that usually cost 198.000 naira, be sold for less than a 100k or 120k highest, but most were used phones. I think in 2016 if people want to afford good phones, they should wait a bit and go to a local market, with a tech person who can tell originals.

No price drop, I got it from the Apple store, the iPhone 7 isn't out yet, it will be out in September/October, and yes it is expensive and I just did a conversion to dollars and gee is it very expensive. 1129.4932 US Dollar and mostly because I got the highest gb, but it is cheaper in the U.S. around 800 tops. The 6s, just has a more interactive user face, in which a person has 3D touch, but there's nothing great about it, honestly.
