Well 1.1.4 was released in the period u say but it is not hard to upgrade even the 1.0.3 to 1.1.4.Its a lot simpler hence u never know .....If u can then check the bootloader version and the BaseBand version. Those will help cos no one will go for upgrading that to a latest version .......no point in doing that.
hence may be that can help u.But i will still suggest u that wait till its launch or get it from outside i.e US .....cos these people u can never trust.

And regarding jailbroken iPhone no need to worry with that cos ...even if its not jailbroken then also u can do it on ur own.Its very simple using the ZiPhone software.
Well i dont think there will be any issues of wifi and other stuff ...cos its all software based ...and even if it does not work then u can simply reinstall the firmware and get it to work.but ofcourse the hardware for it must be intact. And that person will not be guarantying u for that.Hence i suggest wait.Cos its a question of 24K.
And it works simply fine with BSNL.No issues.
