    Default EVDO datacard for BSNL

    Hello everyone.

I am a new member and this is my first post/query.

I could not get a BSNL EVDO datacard (hardware) from the customer service centre - it is out of stock.

I have searched and found Huawei EC122 is available in EBAY.

Will there be any problem if I buy this to use my EVDO prepaid scheme. Is there any regulation that I should use only the equipment supplied by BSNL?

I got the EVDO SIM this afternoon and it is activated.

Kindly answer my query as soon as possible.

    Thanks in advance.

I am not an expert with EVDO but we do have lots of other members who use BSNL EVDO who should be able to answer your query.

I have read that in EC122 (unlocked) you can use BSNL in 1x mode, but won't in EVDO or broadband! I think EVDO is supported in ZTE AC2766 & AC2746.

Why dont you give BSNL a call and ask them to get the correct information. It is better to pay rs50-60 extra and buy it from flipkart instead of ebay. Buy the same modem that bsnl provides?

    Default Problem solved

Many thanks for all the responses.

As suggested, contacted another customer service centre in Chrompet, Chennai and I was able to purchase Micromax MMX 300C USB Modem.

    Thanks once again.

It is nice to see Amazon is available in India but the product range is no where near the USA version I need some solar products but Amazon India has nothing of that sort. Hopefully with time they would keep adding products.

Amazon has only just launched in India and you will see their product range increase over time but I can assure you that those gadgets we drool over will not be availavle from Amazon India any time soon. Government of India ensures that we only use substandard goods and services.

That is "class" You should start writing for newspapers or magazines Some of the lines you say are pure gold. Government of India does ensure that we get third class stuff.

Admin, not every one knows why you said that I think so I would explain a bit for others to have a laugh too

It is FDI laws that do not permit Amazon and lots of other companies to sell all the products that they sell in other countries and it is the govt of India who makes these laws to ensure that living in India sucks.
