Sup guys,Its me aman and today i bought Netgear wireless router N150.Then in the evening i started setting it up with my pc,later i saw an installation guide inside the box and then i started following those steps. After few steps i was able to connect all wires from my router. But after that when it comes to config the router problems start. The problem is when i try to connect routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1 through my browser then it doesn't open the page.It simply says server not found, check the address etc etc.Pls guys help me out.

You need to enter the settings that Hathway provided into your router and set up your computer to auto acquire ip etc. I also suspect that they have mac binding in place so whenever you hook up a new machine you would need to give them a call to register the mac address.

I don't think they send anyone to setup a router.

your hathway modem's lan ip and your netgear's lan ip are both 192.168.1.1, so, that is the conflict. if you can figure out a way to change the netgear's lan ip to anything other than that, like 192.168.0.1, or 10.0.0.1, or whatever you like, except that particular ip address which you have, then everything will work fine.

    cheers
