Hope its because of the moisture bellow the keypad, give it to the service center they will get it cleaned.

This is because of some problem in your keypad,.. keep it moisture free as Deep already told...

wipe off with a paper..

If its still in the one year warranty then take it back to the shop for it to get repaired. If its because of moisture then maybe keep it in hot area maybe near the sun, if that wouldn't harm the phone!

^Stole my thoughts .... If it is the moisture, You can use a table lamp too, keep the suspected -to be dried- part close to the bulb at a reasonable distance..
Try these only if your warranty is lapsed...

arrey bhool karke bhi aisa mat karna....

Keeping in Sun will just spoil the phone... (yes sounds funny, but true)
keeping a moist/watered phone in sun will fasten the corrosion rate...

however watering/spilling is a different issue.so i wont write about it here.. but the best way of soaking extra moisture is none other than soaking it with newspaper/cotton showing it to Priority dealer and tell him to do the things....

if phone is within warranty period get it replaced/fixed...

arreyy it only spoils phone... i already mentioned Corrosion rate increases....

iNDEED if your phone is spilled in milk/oil (not watery lube/ solvents) it is prescribed to rinse the phone very nicely(yes again sounds ridiculous yet true) so that metal ics dont get corroded...
than the phone is kept in raw rice and left till it sukz all water from it... this is the way... maybe he told you a faster/shortcut to achieve soak...

^ You are being unreasonable!! Exposing the phone to a lamp/sunlight once wont lead to corrosion...!!

arrey it increases rate of soaking.... and so it helps only corrosion.. i am senior member @Nokia official forum.. what more do you want to hear??

There are diff kinds/rates of water spilling/roaming into the phone...
water maybe like total spill, small droppings, moisture...
small moisture will dry faster so its mandatory to keep it in non oxigen environment, so that it doesnt start to make oxide(corrodes)

keeping it in rice gives exposure to silica, whih soaks moisture...

i right now cannot connect to Nokia forum (cause of some browser problems..)

take a look into this... for a quicky

Where did you get this? How come it would only make matters worse if you put it in the sun for a while? For all I know it won't. I did it twice already you see. That's why I'm just curious as to why.
