Default Moto G 2nd gen LTE variant launched in India

Finally, Motorola has launched the LTE variant of the Moto G 2ng generation in India at a price tag of 8,999 INR. The device features the same specifications which were seen in the Moto G 2nd generation except for 4g as an addition in the connectivity department. Due to the launch of its 4g variant, the Moto G 2nd generation 3g is expected to see a price slash by next week.

4g is a great addition to any phone. 3g can be slow at times. It will still be good that the prices will come down on the 3g phones. The Moto G is a pretty good phone. I'm glad they are upgrading it to a more compatible speed.

there are multiple bands of LTE. Specs on flipkart does not indicate which LTE band this one supports.
Airtel presently has LTE on Band 40 (2300 Mhz). Others are planning to launch on Band 3 (1800 Mhz) and Band 1 (2100 Mhz). Reliance Jio, in association with Reliance Com, has indicated the possibility of launching in Band 20 (800 Mhz). So buying a LTE phone right now can be risky, particularly since most of the phones support only one or two of these bands.

This phone was a success in Brazil. Its 4G version was very well received because it is an inexpensive phone with a good system.
