3G can ideally give you a dl speed of 384kbps, whilst HSPDA will provide with whopping 3.6 mbps..
MTNL has 3g aswell as HSDPA
and All 3g handsets MOSTLY have HSDPA

I think you meant MOST 3g handsets have HSDPA. But sadly that's not true either, not even half of them have hsdpa/hspa (check URL in 1st post for reference).

Speed is good, I agree but for me if I ever download more than 2~3gB in a day, they kinda cut me off or something. I cannot be sure because over the helpline they never tell me it's a problem from their end and keep making me restart phone and pull out the SIM card - as if it'll solve the problem. Funny thing is I have 2 connections and it only happens to the connection from which I download constantly for a day or so, the other one works just fine. Could they be capping heavy downloads ? Not that I have any problem with that, but they should atleast be "transparent" as they claim.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the problem auto-magically goes away in 3-4 days.
