This plan had a twist, if you pay Rs. 4500 for six months then 200GB cap will be for 6 months ie. you get 200GB of data for 6 months so logically 33GB for one month if you divides yr 200GB equally for 6 months. I had confirmed this from MTNL's dolphin/trump service headquarters at Idgha,New Delhi.
Be Careful and demo is advisable.

Hey Logicool, I was a silent spectator of this forum..last week i bought MTNL 3G Micromax datacard....and used their 2GB free data during the week.. Yesterday I got recharged my data card with Rs. 4500 plan...Surprisingly i got 800GB of free data usage in my account.....so the capping is not 200GB for 6 months...the guy at sanchar hut (Khurshid Lal Bhawan) also told me the capping is per month...

    P.S.
Speed of MTNL 3G is excellent at my home its generally 2-2.5 mbps and occasionally it touches 3.0 mbps. I live in East Delhi....I Recommend MTNL 3G, its true value for money...

Is it better to get the 3g modem from MTNL or buy one myself? Can the Tata photon+ data card be unlocked and used with MTNL?

You can use any data card as-long-as it is unlocked. I'm not sure if Tata Photon's data card will work or not, as you need an unlocked dongle.

you can buy modem from any where,MTNL is selling Teracom these days but huawei's reputation seems to be good on various forums.I personally use Micromax MMX352G.

Main pts for buying 3g Modem
Modem must support higher speeds like 21Mbps,for future
    HSDPA capable
    HSUPA capable
    or HSPA(HSDPA+HSUPA) capable

    Hello Sir,

Did they recharge your account again with 200Gb,or you connection was stopped/terminated(of-course for no money, because they said they will wave off the charges if the customer used the 200Gb)

Is MTNL 3G available in Vasundhara area? Someone from this area can confirm?

BTW just saw an ad for unlimited at Rs750, but their website has no such information. Is there any such plan?

MTNL 3G is available in Vasundhara, Vaishali and Indirapurm.
however there are some blind spots where signal falls sharply.
