Thread: Urgent Help Needed - Disconnection While Downloading

Need urgent help regarding frequent disconnection while downloading.

I tried using MTNL (Mumbai) SIM in Tamil Nadu roaming.

In my area, BSNL enabled 7.2 mbps connections. So, whn chked thru SPEEDTEST, I got 5.6 mbps speed. (Access Point : gprsppsmum)

I have no prblm during usual surfing.

But whn I start downloading files, download speed goes to maximum (750 kbps) and immediately disconnects.

I tried with different sites, but the result is same.

Pls help me regarding this issue.

can u tell me which data card r u using for downloding

Im using in Huawei K4505 data card. I didnt even use any unlimited plans. I just recharged for Rs.22 for 250 MB data. I tried with my mobile. Im unable even to finish SPEEDTEST.NET download test in ANDROID application. Whn it touches goes above 2.5 Mbps, it automatically disconnects.

i think there is some heating issues with your data card, many members of the forum
also reported heating and disconnection issues with this data card or there might
be some problem in bsnl 3g tower, wait for 1 week and then check again.

Problem is not with DATACARD for sure coz, i used the same SIM in my Android mobile phone & another Huawei E156 Datacard and the same problem exists there too. BSNL towers have no problem coz i checked with local SIM cards and they are working properly.

It would be wise if you buy a local BSNL sim and try or you know some one who have a BSNL sim,you can use it for a testing purpose.

So you are saying that BSNL sim is working properly,then why not use BSNL.

Good answer. But BSNL is very costlier whn compared to MTNL. MTNL gives 6 months unlimited for Rs.4500 and there is no such plan in BSNL. So only im trying MTNL.

try ping ur ip while downloading ...in cmd
