Default What happens after the last day of PREPAID 3G 4500/180 days?

I'm a user of MTNL 3G prepaid Rs.4500/180 days. After today midnight my connection was supposed to end it's 180 days, but half an hour after midnight it's still working! So what's going on? I don't have any balance on my sim, only a few Rs maybe. Are you unable to connect after that or do they start charging 1p/10KB? I fear that they might charge me exorbitantly with their 1p/10KB scheme. How can I check?

    Thank you very much.

You are using your chargeable units now, so MTNL will deduct usage from your balance.

You can experiment what happens if your prepaid balance is less than Rs 30-50 in the main a/c. If the computer is asleep at the wheel ,you can push to your benefit it till it breaks.
18 months ago I bought BSNL 3G sim in Chennai CSC (+charged Rs 50-100 in the main balance I think)
and no body in the centre know what exactly was the free allownce.200 mb-20 mb-2Gb !
So I assumed I may have 200 mb-2 GB free allowance.
First day I was watching some Utube (japan flood disasters) at great speed and was thrilled. After an hour so my main balance became Rs -30!!
Caliing 1503 Grandpas & aunties were of no help.
Each person in the BSNL organisation tree had a different idea about bSNL 3G free allownace.
Only the computer knows and it is based in NorthKorea and monitored by "STASI" (east german spy agency before the collapse) trained agents!
Next day I came crawling back to BSNL CSC and recharged rs 4500.
New sim -validity on expiry of 6 months 3G pack- The balance is 0. even today it is still working and receiving calls.

OK. Thanks for the reply. To be safe I stopped using the net and used it only after recharging the next morning.

Now I'm facing severe disconnection issues and I see that I'm not alone
