    Default MTNL 3G roaming

I live in NCR and frequently visit Bangalore. Can I buy a 3G SIM in NCR and use it in Karnataka without paying for data roaming charges.

I looked at this page for 3G tariff:
    3G Datacard Tariff

    It says:
    Seamless roaming over MTNL/BSNL
    No extra data roaming charges

However, under Roaming rates tab, it says:
    Data Charges 1p/12 KB

Suppose I recharge my MTNL sim with 76/ for 1GB data for 1 week before my trip. Will I get 1GB for 1 week in Bangalore without any roaming charges?

Last time I used Delhi Mtnl 3g sim I was3nt charged extra while roaming on Bsnl network. Things might have changed since then so it is best to give Mtnl a call and get first hand information. Dont forget to update this thread.

Before my trip, I had recharged 76/ for 1GB for 1week.

I tried using mtnl 3G in koramangala & whitefield area. I kept getting "Limited service" message on BSNL 3G dialer window. Tried mtnl DOT net and 2 other apns. Internet didn't work at all.

problem could be with BSNL network. In many places BSNL network keeps switching between HSDPA (3.5 G) - WCDMA (3 G) - EDGE. this makes data connectivity impossible.
