Default MTNL put me on wrong plan?

I recently got a new MTNL BB Connection in Delhi - 256Kbps UL for Rs 599/month.

But to my surprise, my download speeds are above 200KBps....indicating 2Mbps connection.

I called them today 4 times and I was assured 4 times that according to them, I am on right plan. One of them said...why worry when you are getting more than expected speed.

I have no written proof of this and register.bol.net is inaccessible. What to do?

Are you sure? Should I worry about it? BTW your user profile mentions Airtel...have you tested MTNL?

I would not be too sure on this. Does MTNL has a portal to check plan, usage, etc.? If yes, confirm from that site.

Ever used a MTNL connection? Because your question seems stupid. I already mentioned that I cannot access register.bol.net.in which is the only site to check usage/plans.

I wonder why you found my suggestion stupid. I said that you should reconfirm this. Also, I never asked a question.

I am not an MTNL user. Very few here, are. How is one to know that "register.bol.net.in" is an MTNL portal?

I am mtnl user frm delhi and the problem in their website (register.bol.net.in is NOT opening at all, while every other site opens) to check account usage still sustains for last 10 days. I couldnt able to check my account details even sending detail mail to helpdesk is not resolving. While talking to CC, they can check my account (and also this without asking passwrd frm my side, which is strange as its known only to me). It seems they the one, only have access to our account usage. Everytime (5-7 times) i asked why this is happening even site not opening in firefox+ie7+safari they respond its opening at my end, we cant help u any further, take the request no. and (b quite pls). Am really confused what to do now
