Thread: "High Ping In Cs 1.6 Since 4 Days!" S.O.S

hey Guys i have MTNL delhi unlimited plan (256 kbps).4 days ago i switched off the modem n when i switched it on the download speed reduced to 6 or 7 kbps from 24 - 25 kbps.cutomer care guy changed my DNS IP.i'm getting 23 - 24 kbps speed now but the ping on chinese servers has increased by more than double(almost three times)
i used to get 270-320 ping which has now jumped to 650 to 750 n in peak times above 800!!!

any1 knows wat the problem is? how to reduce the ping?
please guys help A.S.A.P.modem model no.is UT304R2.

What DNS are you using? And there are plenty servers for CS 1.6 in India lol why are you going for chinese servers?

Another thing, Open your browser page copy the ip of that CS 1.6 server goto run command type Without quotes -> "cmd /k ping x.x.x.x -t" (replace x.x.x.x with ip of cs 1.6 server) now you will see reply if server has not disabled ECHO respond for ping. Open your router page login to your router now go to the option where you can connect / disconnect. Keep disconnect and connect until you see ping lowered.

I play blackops and i get 150-160 ping in EU Servers (germany, france etc) if i get more like 200+ i just connect/disconnect from router panel until i see ping less than 180ms. Hope this helps. MTNL uses dynamic routing. So you need to do this exercise of connect/disconnect until you get good routing.
