well i think one snap shot of the screen on your mobile with above setting viewed will be much better.. still i will help u as much as i can..

1st of all.. let me tel u.. i think your home wifi is security enabled.. hope u know it. n your password for whihc u have in your fone should be same.. or it wont connect... so better check it 1st..
secondly.. your isp name.. check your modem settings.. from your pc,,, and see the isp.. type is exactly same.. cases do matter.. so be careful...

now enter as follows.. remember to see 1st via comp.. go to modem settings... same u have to transfer to your phone..

Network name - your isp name
Network Type ( Internet and Private/work network) - hope its not private.. so keep it internet.
If the Network connect to work via VPN, select Internet
    3. Options a) This is a hidden network
    b) This is a device to device connection.. i think b will be proper option.
    4.Authentication: WPA-PSK
    5. Data Encryption: TKIP
    6. Network Key :XXXXX... pl check the key is proper.
    7. Key Index :1
    8. Option: Use IEEE 802.1x network access control selected.
    9. EAP Type: smart card or certificate

do let me know if this works for u or not........

    Hi again

Thanks but I know it is secured and I know all the setting and key to configure the mobile settings.

I try once again changing the setting and key but it again not work on my mobile though my laptop is easily working with new settings.

My same mobile is able to work with others Wifi network with minimum settings and I am sure there is some setting in the ADSL router which is preventing it from access all mobiles phone as I tried my cousins Blackberry also to connect but it did not connect.

Is there any setting in ADSL router which prevent the mobile devices or I doubt the Key index may be playing some role in it?

    please advice.

    Hi Essbabe

    Thanks for your post.

1.DHCP is not enabled in the router
    2.WIFI Router is WA3002-G4 ( MTNL Provided)
    3. what you mean by status report. when I connect with WIFI the screen shows me the WIFI signal of a tower and also in one ares if shows WIFI Connected
4.No message it shows...it just keep trying and tring for 10 min 15 min and i switch off the WIFI as can not wait for more.
5.I will try that once I got back to my home. and inform you the status
    6. yes it is always on

Also I was using the secured network before updragation of firmware at home without a problem and i can connect both secured and unsecured network of other routers on my mobile.

1.Enable DHCP in modem router. Similar or same page.

    2.OK
3.could you access any web site and surf ?
    4. Noted
    5.Ok
    6.Noted .
    7. Start/ RUN TYPE cmd type ipconfig/all
    Post data here.
    8. The OS used in your laptop.
    9. Since BSNL has changed the settings, Your Mobile unable to access this Wireless WA3002G4internet connection. ( noted . laptop is working OK in WIFI mode )
    10. Security settings let it remain.
I am considering your mobile Phone as another computer/laptop.
to connect in WIFI mode to WA3002-G4.

yup... enabling the DHCP in modem will work.. (HTC always needs Wifi routers to be DHCP Enabled)

The phone does not need setting.
