    Default Increasing Data rate

    Can n e one guide me as to how to ask MTNL to increase data rate.....i am using the 849 NU plan....my data rate is 256 kbps up and down inspite of high SNR and attenuation values...

    connection speed, actual speed u r getting, modem details.......

    i am having the mtnl NU plan wherein i am entitled to receive upto 2mbps....but the data rate on my DSL 502T modem has been set at 256 kbps up and down...i am getting download speeds between 25-30 kbps....

    DSL502T.
    Option 1 :
    Did you migrate from a 256Kbps plan to Upto 2 Mbps plan ?
    Complain to MTNL CC. may be they have not changed servers.
    Quote the default MTNL gateway (& dynamic IP used now . will change often. )

    Option 2 :
    In you modem select ADSL2 + and see if line Rate changes.

    How did you know the speed is set to 256kb in modem ? I don't think there is such an option in any modems.

    I don't think there is such an option in any modems.
    Example;

    Also sl2_141 WA g3002_G4 ut star 300R2U
    In Huawei series AX mt882 etc

    How did you know the speed is set to 256kb in modem

    Thanks essbebe. That's new info to me. I never thought there would be an option in any modem like that.

    Changing to GDMT is "Crocin" for intermittent connections !!!!!

    5 phone calls made the change.....not bad i think.....they changed my dtaa rate to 2013kbps down and 260up.....downoaded 2 gb last night felt real good

    manas27587 hi there i have a question for you i have to changed my triband plan from 590 nu to 849 nu but frankly speaking i am getting 25 to 30 kpbs and using UT-300RTU THE OLD 2004 WHITE MODEL ROUTER WITH 4 Green lights - data , per, lan, link.

    please tell me how to increase the speede like that of yours and exactly whom to call and from which telephone no to dial from?
