hey guys i wanted to know that if i can setup a lan server on cs 1.6?? cuz me and my frnd want to play cs 1.6 as we live nearby and have mtnl 256 unlimited

And if i can then how????

i have 2 cs 1.6

1.orginal cs anthology
2.cs 1.6 v32

and i cant setup a server???

Anyway, yes u can setup a pseudo-lan server through ur MTNL connection. but to do so u have to install third party softwares like "GARENA". visit the following thread and read the posts for better conception on how to use GARENA. read onwards from post 32 in that page :

Me and a couple of my IBB pals are playing online through it. So, u and ur pals are also welcome to join us.
And lastly, I suggest u use the "cs 1.6 v32" version/copy.

dude i mean that is it possible to set a local server which we see under the LAN tab of the game in the FIND SERVERS option of the game......me and ma friend have MTNL UL 256kbps and we live a few houses away.....help......if i can then how to set it up....

Read this again, the exact answer to ur exact question.
U can always setup a lan server by clicking on"new game" but if u want the server to be visible to ur pal, u have to install lanning softwares like GARENA or HAMACHI. read the link to find out how to use garena.

i tried so much, but i wasnt able to do it via broadband...

however, once i got successful but the game was breaking up for many times, and it was $hit. try some other way for it ...bsnl broadband ha!!

well, i play almost regularly on my bsnl home500c plan. and i have a quite good experience. ( m not preaching for bloody bsnl though, only sayin that it has no substitute).

arre dude do not do all this noobofy pantiyan just forward port 27015 okay and then go to cs 1.6 anthalogy and start a lan server then once you are in the game press the icon below esc key and type in :
sv_lan 0
and then press submit
now go to www-what-is-my-ip-com whithout the hyphens....and see what is your ip, then tell your other friend to press the same key below esc while in game and then type :
connect 59.xxx.xx.xxx:27015
x denotes the digits of your ip...
IF ANYONE HAS ANYOTHER PROBLEMS THEN JUST CALL ME UP AT TO ASK HOW TO SET UP SERVERS IN COUNTER STRIKE AND PORT FORWARDING!!!!!

in garena there is a proble somenthing about protocol on vstreet server . How to solve this.

the cs 1.6 runs on 2 protocols

1. version 47
2. version 48

if u have a cs wid version 47 u can only play on servers wid that servers
n 48 if u have version 48.

if u try to connect to a version using the other version protocol u'll get an error.....
to fix this either u must have bothe v32 cs and the orginal version or u can install a cs version that has supports both protocol versions

i am able to play counter strike1.6 with my friends without any problem by using a software called lanoninternet..becoz it does not require port forwarding.by using the software i jus created a invitation and sent it to my friends..they joined me and playing the game currently..you can download the software from

Can you tell me ,what is invition file in lan soft.
