i agree. filehippo opens all right with NIB II (117.... series). so can not be a BSNL issue. must be other way round.

Have you tried complaining to filehippo's admin or bsnl?

Tried contacting filehippo, no replies.

BSNL was of the opinion i should reinstall XP,change the modem, change the telephone wirings

which department/person you got in touch with?

This matter can only be solved by NIB guys.

Indeed i had contacted the NIB office. Yet havent given me any clear cut ideas as to what is happening. This was back in 2006 and right now i have lost all hopes with BSNL and am happy with toonel.

Came to known from the community that many subscribers with 59.93.xx.xx IPs are facing the same problem.

is filehippo the only site, you are facing trouble with?
if yesh, then using a proxy to avoid hassles makes perfect sense

Yes filehippo.com is the only website i am facing the problem. And i am using toonel to access the site.

all those having pron with msn n othr sites,then its the prob of router.
bring ur router to the bRIDGE mode n surf...
no problem will appear then....
this prob coming with UTSARCOM model or somthing like tat
