Thread: problem in online gaming

guys i m facing a problem in online games. i play cs online. earlier i used to get 60-70 ping on all servers but now i get above 300. the dwnloading speed is the same. i tried restarting the router but no use. can smeone help me???

sorry to hear that dude but mtnl must be routing you through another isp..... you are maybe being routed through vsnl and hence your line is getting spikes and therefore high pings contact your local mtnl exchange for this problem or the other option is do a traceroute to the servers you used to play on..
step 1 . go to run
step 2. type cmd
step 3. now a black box will open
step 4. now type "tracert" and then the ip of the server without the quotes like
tracert Example Web Page
OR
tracert 59.179.243.70
and then post your results over here and then we maybe able to help you.... best of luck

my pings on local delhi servers are fine. the problem starts when i join servers outside delhi. plz help.

hmmm.. did you change your plan? please tell me EXACTLY how the pings increased..... like u chnged plan and den the ping went up or u used internet after long time???

i did nothing, absolutely nothing. i m using wifi router + adsl modem (dsl 2640t). i usually get normal ping after 1 am at night, but till that time there is noone to play wid.

I used to get 30 pings on vstreet and 50 in IGL. Now i get 100+ ping in Vstreet servers and 500+ in IGL... I am using BSNL and live in Nagpur.

What could be the reason?
