Thread: download speed :(

i have a 256kbps unlimited connection and am from south delhi,modem UT300 R2U....

i am getting download speeds of 10-11 kbps using firefox or IE.....when i use flashget i get around 20kbps

earlier i used to get ~24kbps.....please help

what does Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test say?

Have you scanned your pc ?...sometimes virus slows down speed...
Else post stats of your modem (192.168.1.1)

I am on 256 speed in mumbai, i have to say MTNL is the worst but i do get around 30-35kb in the morning hours i mean how do i put it...i get 30kb till like 5-6pm and then i get around 200-300kb its really freaking weird but i get loads of disconnection link flashes comes back every 10-15 minutes at least once.. i keep calling MTNL already made 26 complaints no body even bothered to call or came over to check it.

My DLINK 2640t wireless works at snails speed ...its take 10 minutes to open timesofindia.
They said i have to update it and gave me there sterlite Sam300 modem and since then i get this awesome speed.

But stil very pissed of with MTNL customer serivce is pathetic.!!
